LARYSSA KUZMAI am a sucker for love and laughter. I am so inspired not only by beautifully intimate moments, but by soft, lighthearted ones as well, and I try to emulate this in my work. I thrive on adventure, humour, and positivity, and have a major appreciation for life's littlest moments.
When I'm not taking photos, I love reading a good book by the water, finding new mountains to climb, itching my travel bug, and taking on the world with my golden retriever, Kramer.
Things that get me excited:
• Anything outdoorsy - I tackled my first overnight hike in Stratchona Provincial Park a couple summers ago, and I've been slowly building up my hiking gear to take on more of these adventures! Camping, bonfires, paddleboarding with Kramer at the helm, beach days, and simply existing by the ocean - all of these are some of my purest forms of joy.
• Live music - I am an unequivocal foot tapper, and (very unfortunately) a hummer/sing-alonger. Realistically, I appreciate any form of music - the feeling you get hearing something in person is unexplainably incredible. However, two of my favourite genres are folk and country (shout out to my northern BC roots!).
• Traveling - I've been fortunate enough to begin truly exploring the world within the last few years, and I've made it a personal goal of mine to experience one new country a year. My style of travel is about exploring the natural beauty of a country, but there's something to be said about spoiling yourself for a night in a fancy villa! I recently completed a solo trip to Ireland, and hopped over to Iceland for a roadtrip with my sister! Next on the bucket list, in no particular order, are Croatia, Greece, Turkey, Central America, and more of Southeast Asia. Let's swap stories, I would love to hear all about yours!

I believe in guiding through authenticity, meaning taking cues from you to capture images that reflect your personality. To me, the most important element of photography is being able to seize a particular feeling within a moment in time - which is why I much prefer spontaneous, candid photos.

I don't take any inquiry, compliment, or booked session for granted. The passion I have for capturing photos is evident with every happy dance in my kitchen for every single message I receive. As much as I am an introvert, I thrive on genuine connections with genuine people. I love getting to know you and your vibe even before meeting - every session should feel like meeting up with and old friend, and I truly value the importance of a good fit.
