how does it work?

1. Fill out form

Head to my contact page to inquire about availability, pricing packages, and next steps. I'll get back to you within 3 business days to schedule a phone call or video chat to get to know each other and make sure we are a great fit. No question is too big or too small! I want to work together to find something that works wonderfully for you.

2. book + deposit

Your chosen date and time will be reserved for 24 hours, during which I will require a 20% non-refundable retainer and a returned contract to complete your booking. The remainder of fees will be due 1 month before your session. Now, sit back, relax, and wait for the big day!

3. ENGAGEMENT SESSION + WEDDING DAY

My packages come with a complimentary engagement session. It's purpose is three-fold: it's my gift to you to get some photos with your love before the wedding, to get to meet each other in person, and for you to get comfortable in front of a camera before your big day! Leading up to your wedding, we will work together to solidify a photography timeline and nail down a shot list. All this leads to the day of your wedding, where all I ask is that you are ready to have yourself an incredible day!

4. Photos + gallery

I want the feeling of excitement to stick around for as long as possible - I'll typically send sneak peeks within 10 days of your session. The rest of your gallery will be delivered in full within 12 weeks. I hope you love the outcome as much as I've loved the entire process.

What dates do you have available?

My books are open for 2026! I have limited dates available for weddings in 2025. Please reach out to inquire about your date!

Do you travel?

The short answer is - yes! I am based in Victoria, BC, but am happy and willing to discuss travel options if you are located outside of the Greater Victoria area. My passion is capturing love, no matter the destination, and nothing is more exciting to me than being able to do that anywhere and everywhere! Travel fees may apply, so please fill out an inquiry form and I will provide a quote based on the current going rates.

What can I expect to spend for photography?

My packages and prices are dependent on the number of hours of coverage you require. Add-ons are available, including a second shooter or additional coverage outside of my typical package hours. Travel costs and any permits required by your venue, if applicable, are not included. I will work together with you and your partner to make sure the package you are investing in works for you.

How will my photos be edited?

You can expect your gallery to be edited in a style that is consistent with my portfolio, viewable on my website and Instagram. Each photographer has their own individual editing style. This, along with their method of capturing the raw images during your session, is what makes each one unique, and is something to take into consideration when choosing the photographer that is right for you.

WHEN WILL I RECEiVE MY PHOTOS (AND HOW)?

I guarantee wedding sneak peeks within 1 week of your wedding date. Full galleries are delivered within 3-4 months. I LOVE what I do, and I am so passionate about making sure your galleries are perfect - with this being my second, full-time job (outside of my day job!), it takes me about this long to ensure I'm able to manage my workloads adequately!

You will receive an email link to an online gallery with the edited photos from your session, in high-resolution JPEG format. From there, will be able to download all of your photos and share the gallery with your loved ones. I guarantee hosting on my platform for 1 year, as well as an additional backup of your photos on my storage systems for 1 year.

Do I get to choose my photos?

I spend a great deal of time choosing the best of the best photos from your session. Due to the nature of both natural light and lifestyle photography, that involves candid movement and thus changing light dynamics, not all shots that are taken will turn out as planned. If you have any ‘must have’ shots, I will absolutely do my best to make sure they are included in your final gallery. All this being said, I do guarantee at least 50 photos per hour of coverage!

DO YOU OFFER ALBUMS OR PRINTS?

This is brand new to me, but expect this option to be available in 2025 onward. I am working on selecting the best quality provider for prints and albums and look forward to being able to offer this soon!

What methods of payment do you use?

Currently, I accept payment through e-transfer. I am working on setting up client management software to accept credit card payment. Payment plans are available as well!

CAN I SHARE THE PHOTOS ON SOCIAL MEDIA?

Absolutely, please do! I love seeing my clients share their experience. Within our contract, it addresses that the photos I provide to you cannot be altered in any way (i.e. no filters!) - I've worked hard to edit your photos in a way that represents my unique style!
If you do share your photos, credit to my account (by tagging @capturedbyLK and/or mention of my business name), helps spread the word and means the absolute world to me!
